Woman held for obtaining bank loan with fake documents

The anti-forgery wing of Central Crime Branch (CCB) on Tuesday arrested a 35-yearold woman for allegedly obtaining Rs 10 lakh as bank loan using forged medical shop licence.

The accused, S Veronica of Periyar Nagar, was working at FM Medical shop for a while and created a fake licence of the shop, with which she obtained Rs 10 lakh loan from a bank.  

Based on a complaint by Jayalakshmi, Deputy Director of Department of Drug Control Administration, CCB registered a case and during the investigation it was found that Veronica forged the documents with the help of her husband Suresh Kumar and obtained the loan. She also shifted her location to cheat the bank to dodge repaying the loan. She was produced before the magistrate and remanded in judicial custody. Further investigation is on.
