According to a CBSE release, Het Shah with a score of 685 out of 720 marks stood first across the country, followed by Ekansh Goyal (682 marks) and Nikhil Bajiya (678 marks).
The candidates can access their result on www. aipmt.nic.in, www.cbse. nic.in and www.cbsere sults.nic.in. Starting this year, CBSE will also provide NEET rank letters to the candidates qualifying for 15 per cent All India seats through DigiLocker at https://digilocker. gov.in/. NEET-2016 result will also be available on Digilocker” website at http://results.digilocker.gov.in, a CBSE initiative in collaboration with DigiLocker.
Out of 8,02,594 eligible registered candidates, 7,31,223 appeared for NEET conducted in two terms, while 71,371 candidates did not turn up for the exam. Overall, 4,09,477 students have qualified for the admission, while number of seats available is 19,325.
As per the Supreme Court’s decision, CBSE has provided All India rank to candidates. Admitting authorities will draw merit list based on All India rank for the seats of MBBS/BDS falling under their jurisdiction. Accordingly, candidates have been advised to get in touch with their respective state/institution for further information.
CBSE conducted National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test-UG (NEET-1) and NEET-2 on May 1 and July 24, 2016 respectively.
