The programme included dance, music, and rap performances by participants from various institutions. Bun Butter Jam, a band comprising three young artistes, received loud applause for their performance.

To recreate the Mint Street wedding experience, the college arranged a special bharat on campus. A horse was brought in, with a person dressed as a groom, giving students a glimpse of a traditional wedding procession.

The idea of Mint Street is the brainchild of our secretary, AVM K Shanmugam sir. This entire event is designed to help students learn about entrepreneurship. It also encourages student networking, as participants include students from other colleges and schools. This year has been a success, with a large turnout over two days

Singers Pramod and Ramya entertained the crowd, encouraging students to dance along to the beats. Naveen, an alumnus who returned to perform, told DT Next, “This event was memorable for me, as it helped me network with other students and meet new people. I was part of a band that performed on the second day, and the response was motivating.

I am looking forward to more such events in the future.”

A Bollywood-themed dance performance around the bharat added to the festive atmosphere. “I visited the event last year as well, as my sister studies here. This year feels grander, since last year was the first edition. I am looking forward to the next edition,” said Naachya, a visitor. The event also saw the presence of celebrities, including GK Reddy, PL Thenappan, and Gangai Amaran, who were felicitated by the college secretary, AVM K Shanmugam.

“Health is wealth, and it is very important. I wanted to spread awareness about healthy eating. I am grateful to AVM K Shanmugam and appreciate his hard work in making this event a success. Just as Vishal makes me proud, he has made his father proud as well, learning is all it takes,” said GK Reddy.

“I can see our students learning a great deal from this event, as it tests their entrepreneurship, leadership, and management skills. The crowd exceeded our expectations, and a lot of effort has gone into making this event a success. We are looking forward to the next edition,” said a faculty member of Avichi College. The event concluded with a replica dance performance by the Avichi dance club.
