Because of the current situation, members of our choir couldn’t come together and sing for the past months. So, my wish to Santa would be to gift us one app like Zoom so that choir members can meet virtually and sing together. What we do at present is each member records the song and one person put them together. If there is an app like Zoom, where we meet and sing, it would be helpful.

I cannot ask Santa for weight loss because I have dropped weight this year. I feel I look like a French lady minus the coffee and the cigarette. Dear Santa, please ensure all supposed fashionistas wear our outfits longer and don’t worry about being a ‘repeat offender’. Also, I wanted Santa to make us realise when we buy less we are actually saving our planet and our bank balances.

Minnie Menon, Jewellery designer

I wish Santa could allow me to spend more quality time with nature. This would help me and everyone refresh themselves and get back to routine with better quality work. Also, I wanted to start living life minimal and focus on needs than wants. I’d wish to learn a new hobby or a new skill — another way to spend less time on screens.

Bhavya Desai, Artist

Well, I have a lot of wishes that I desire this Christmas. But I will reduce it to four. I wanted to learn a new instrument. Being a bicycle enthusiast, I would like to take a ride around Tamil Nadu on a bicycle and meet people and learn about their different lifestyles. I also wish to have a dedicated bicycle lane in Chennai. Another aspect I am looking forward to is to have less traffic streets in neighbourhoods.

Felix John, Bicycle Mayor of Chennai

I feel if people do more nature-based activities they will learn to appreciate and care for the environment. We all need to do this for future generations especially. So I wish that more people become conscious of our beautiful natural world. If people can connect with something then they tend to care about it.

Aine Edwards, Surfer

The past few months have not been easy for us. We don’t know what’s going to happen in the future and all of us are anxious about it. I don’t want that to happen. Also, I wanted to meet my friends and spend more time with them.

Shilpa Vummiti, Fashion designer
