While Tiruvannamalai police was camping in the city in search of the woman, Manjula, along with Saravanan (20), Sam Sundar (20) and Santhosh (19) of Arumbakkam, and Dinesh Kumar (19), surrendered in the court. They were remanded in judicial custody till January 4 and lodged in Puzhal Central prison.
On January 4, the Tiruvannamalai town police will produce them before magistrate in their jurisdiction.
Nagaraj was arrested in connection with the abduction and murder of Manjula’s son Ritesh Sai (9) last March after she snapped the relationship with him. He was released on bail recently. Nagaraj, who had gone to his hometown Tiruvannamalai and started working at a mobile showroom, was on Saturday hacked to death in full public view by a four-member gang.
