

CHENNAI: Sleuths from the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) carried out a search at the residence of a woman Police Inspector attached to the Chennai Police Anti-Vice squad in Tirumangalam on Friday, following allegations of bribery.
Inspector Rajalakshmi, resides with her family in Welcome Colony, Tirumangalam. A team of DVAC personnel arrived at her home in the morning and conducted searches for approximately four hours.
According to police sources, the operation was initiated based on a complaint alleging that the inspector had accepted a bribe in connection with the investigation of a specific case. Officials have not disclosed further details regarding the nature of the case or what items, if any, were seized during the search.
In response to the development, Inspector Rajalakshmi claimed that the raid was prompted by personal vendetta on the part of certain individuals. She stated that she would challenge the allegations through legal proceedings.
