Sources further said that Palaniswami, who usually attacks the Mannargudi clan during political meetings did not touch on the subject in the recently held MGR Centenary meeting in Chennai, which is apparently in line with the recent political developments in the State.
“Palaniswami is all prepared for a merger with TTV Dhinakaran, deputy general secretary of AMMK, at the expense of a group of ministers, who are opposed to the Mannargudi family capturing the party back,” claimed a source.
However, Union Minister Pon Radhakrishan, while addressing the media at the Chennai Airport, said that he discussed only government projects with Palaniswami and politics was not the subject of their meet.
