

CHENNAI: Anna University hosted a conclave on emerging trends in electronics and semiconductors, with participation from more than 60 leading industries across the country.
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering at the university announced on Monday that the conclave served as a platform to connect academics and industry, focusing on the latest advancements and future directions in electronics and semiconductor technologies. This was the first time Anna University hosted such an event.
The event witnessed the active participation of a total of 69 leading industries from across the country, including global technology giants such as Google, NVIDIA, Intel, Altra, Analog Devices, Synopsys and Qualcomm, along with several other prominent industries from the electronics and semiconductor sector.

Initiatives for setting up specialised training facilities in collaboration with industry partners, "Train the Trainer" to enhance teaching and research capabilities and industry-oriented research collaborations, paving the way for joint projects, internships, and consultancy works.
Accordingly, the conclave successfully strengthened industry-academic linkages and laid a strong foundation for future collaborations in training, research and innovation.
