CHENNAI: Five people were seriously injured after an iron rope fell during construction work at Kalaignar Centenary Park on Cathedral Road on Saturday.
According to a Thanthi TV report, the accident happened while a tower was being built inside the park and the rope suddenly fell and hit the workers.
The injured were taken to a private hospital in Alwarpet for treatment. Police are looking into the incident.
