CHENNAI: Vegetable prices at the Koyambedu wholesale market in Chennai witnessed minor fluctuations on January 24 (Saturday).

Few vegetables record a drop in prices

Ooty carrot prices dropped by Rs 5 per kg from Rs 30 per kg to Rs 25 per kg. Meanwhile, Malur carrots fell to Rs 12 per kg from Rs 15, decreasing by Rs 3 per kg.

Prices of most vegetables remain unchanged

• According to traders, rates of onions, tomatoes, potatoes, continue to be sold at same price as compared to yesterday.

• Onions is priced at Rs 26 per kg, tomatoes is priced at Rs 25 per kg, potatoes are priced at Rs 20 per kg.

• Beans continue to rule at Rs 40 per kg, while ginger is sold at Rs 70 per kg and garlic is sold at Rs 100 per kg.

• Corainder and mint leaves are sold at Rs 5 and Rs 3 per bunch, respectively.
