With the ongoing tussle between Anna University and AICTE, looks like the University has finally set aside its stand of promoting arrear students. The window for registration for the upcoming Nov-Dec arrear examinations are now open for the students to register themselves.
Earlier, TN Govt had announced that the students who had paid their fees for arrear examinations will be declared pass without having to write the exams, following which AICTE issued a stern warning against to Anna Univ opposing the idea of promoting the arrear students without any proper evaluation.
Also, the Madras High Court had categorically favoured AICTE and ruled that students with arrears should clear it only through exams and not otherwise.
Meanwhile, Anna Univ has called the arrear students to register themselves for the upcoming arrear exams for the semester of Nov-Dec. The last date of registration is 10th December 2020. It also urged the affiliated colleges to complete the registrations on or before 10th December, though the exact date of examinations and the mode of exams are not known.
