“Unfortunately, most students both in mainstream schools and colleges dread the idea of reading a book, as there are many misconceptions about reading. Sometimes, the learning environment is conducive enough to train a student into the habit of reading. So, we decided to create a platform for college students where we discuss one book every day, for 21 days.
The books are non-political, non-religious and very short reads, in basic English picked exclusively to overcome the fears of those beginning to read. We will be sharing the pdf of the book a day in advance to those interested to join and the next day, at 6 pm we will be sharing our learnings and perspectives. The recording would be available on YouTube for later viewing,” says Kaushik Kumar of Akarmaa Foundation. For details, visit the Facebook page of Akarmaa Foundation.
