Geri Care sets up cancer unit in Chennai

CHENNAI: Geri Care, India’s pioneer in integrated eldercare, has launched its dedicated Geriatric Oncology Centre in the city.

Dr Lakshmipathy Ramesh, founder-MD, Geri Care, said, “Cancer in older adults cannot be managed the way it is in younger patients. Every treatment decision must account for the elder’s overall health, existing medical conditions, functional independence and quality of life.”
