CHENNAI: Composer Anirudh Ravichander has invested an undisclosed amount in hospitality group Ironhill through his venture Albuquerque Records on Monday (August 24).
The investment comes after the merger of Ironhill India and Ironhill US, which brought the two businesses together as a single international platform.
For Anirudh, the investment marks his second foray into the global hospitality and food and beverage sector after Loca Loka Tequila. He is also the co-founder of Loca Loka Tequila and founder of Albuquerque Records, an independent label launched to release future pop and hip-hop music by the artist. Loca Loka Tequila is co-founded by actor-producer Rana Daggubati and entrepreneur Sree Harsha Vadlamudi, as well.
Anirudh said his association with Ironhill's co-founder Sree Harsha Vadlamudi through Loca Loka Tequila gave him an understanding of the team's approach to brand-building and operations.
“Ironhill has built something rare, a hospitality brand with real soul and genuine scale to match. As Ironhill writes its global chapter, I'm not just backing a business. I am backing a philosophy that great experiences, like great music, need no translation,” Anirudh said.
Ironhill currently operates venues across India and the US, with plans for expansion into new international markets through 2026 and 2027.
Sree Harsha Vadlamudi said Anirudh's investment reflected his confidence in the brand as it expands internationally.
“His decision to back Ironhill at this moment as we step onto the global stage speaks to the confidence that people who truly understand brand-building have in what we are creating,” Vadlamudi said.
