CHENNAI: Chola MS reported a Gross Written Premium (GWP) of Rs 2,337 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2025, compared to Rs 2,057 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. But, its net profit drastically plunged from Rs 102 crore in Q3 of 2024 to Rs 59 cr in Q3 of 2025.
For the nine-month period ended December 31, 2025, GWP stood at Rs 6,555 crore against Rs 6,193 crore recorded in the same period last year.
During the quarter, Chola MS reported a Profit Before Tax (PBT) of Rs 80 crore. For the nine-month period, PBT stood at Rs 346 crore, while Profit After Tax (PAT) was Rs 257 crore (Rs 363 cr).
Pursuant to the notification of the Labour codes, the Company has reassessed its employee benefit obligations and recognised an incremental gratuity expense of Rs 7.74 cr in the quarter towards past service cost.
Net worth increased to Rs 3,257 crore; Solvency ratio stood at 2.04 times, well above the regulatory requirement of 1.5 times, reflecting a strong capital position.
Return on Net Worth for the nine-month period was 7.9 per cent (not annualised).
The Company continued to expand its distribution footprint through strategic partnerships, including new bancassurance tie-ups.
During the period, Chola MS successfully settled over 5 lakh claims across lines of business, supported by a robust ecosystem of 17,500+ garages and 13,500+ hospitals, enabling efficient cashless and reimbursement claim settlements.
