Karnataka CM partakes in yagna for COVID-19 control, world welfare

Karnataka Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa has participated in Sri Dhanvantari Yagna, seeking divine blessings for the welfare of the world and COVID-19 control on Tuesday.
"Participated in Sri Dhanavantari Yagna which is being conducted at Shankarmath for world welfare and Coronavirus control," said Yediyurappa.
Medical Education Minister K. Sudhakar, Tourism Minister C. T. Ravi and Bengaluru South Member of Parliament Tejasvi Surya had also participated in the rituals.
"I prayed to Lord Shankaramath with Lord Dhanvantari and participated in the Maha Dhyanam," said Sudhakar.
Wearing masks to protect themselves, Yediyurappa and others donned saffron scarfs as they participated in the Hindu rituals.
The presiding deities at the Sri Sringeri Shankara Math are Sri Sharadamba and Sri Adi Shankara, located at Shankarapuram in Bengaluru.
The temple is a part of the Sri Sri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Mahasamsthanam Dakshinamanya Sri Sharada Peetham at Sringeri in Chikamagalur district.
