India comes down strongly on the amendment of new political map by Nepal.

India called it untenable and calls the new political map artificial that has no basis in history.

The amendment needed two-thirds of majority out of the total 275 seats of the Nepal.

Even the warring parties have come together passing this amendment unanimously.

This comes under the backdrop of LAC tensions between India and China. Nepalese PM Oli is known to have strong leaning to Beijing.

The ties between India and Nepal came under strain after Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated a 80-km-long strategically crucial road connecting the Lipulekh pass with Dharchula in Uttarakhand on May 8.
