US President Donald Trump's maiden visit to India is anticipated with much expectations and larger than life limelight by world leaders and media. Trump arrived at Ahmedabad airport around 11.40 am on Monday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi received Trump and his wife Melania at the Ahmedabad airport upon their arrival. After which, both the leaders began their 22 km long roadshow to reach Sabarmati Ashram.

    - With the US's clear statement on the visit being cited as to boost 'strategic interests' between the two countries, analysts say Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Donald Trump are expected to sign a limited trade deal.

    - As the economic tensions between the two countries are in a deteriorating state after the revoke of India from Generalized System of Preferences (GSP), Trump's current visit ascertains political motivations outshining his economic interests over India.

-Indians belong to one of the fastest growing ethnic communities in USA. Trump's visit also focuses on winning the confidence of increasing Indian Americans in USA.

-If you think about the 'Howdy, Modi!' rally held on Houston, USA last year, you can spot the striking similarities in political intentions between Modi and Trump. The efforts of the two leaders to explicitly show their solidarity towards the Indian Americans for each others' gains remains irrefutable.

-The foreign policy of US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi place personal relationships with fellow country leaders at a higher priority over geo-political and economic ties. -

-Trump's ''Modi is a friend of mine'' works very well to further enrich both their personal connectivity level as well as countries' strategic interests.
