Modi's second day in Mamallapuram starts with 'Swachh Bharat'

In what looks like a huge promotion for his ‘Swachh Bharat’ campaign, PM Modi cleaned the beach of Mamallapuram for 30 minutes apparently while he was taking a walk in the beach.

Videos of Modi carrying what looks like a plastic bag, and dropping garbage in the bag as he collects them from the beach, are surfacing on social media.

Modi and Chineese Presidnet Xi Jinping reached Chennai on Friday and they kicked off their two-day informal summit, the second one after the Wuhan edition last year, at this coastal town located about 50 km from Tamil Nadu's capital Chennai.

The two leaders had earlier visited three heritage sites housing historical monuments at Arjuna's Penance, Pancha Rathas and the shore temple, all key landmarks of this quaint town. A cultural show, which included a dance show by the students of Kalakshetra was showcased for the leaders in Mamallapuram on Friday.
