Pondy Cong in jitters over AIADMK tie-up

Talking to newspersons, Anbazhagan said that in politics it is quite common that parties forge an alliance according to the prevailing situation.

The Congress who formed an alliance with the DMK who burnt  the effigy of the former leader Sonia Gandhi and who attacked the Congress workers in their party headquarters in Chennai do not have any moral right to criticise the formation of the AIADMK-N R Congress alliance along with the BJP, he added.

When AIADMK was having only five MLAs, N R Congress gave the Rajya Sabha seat to AIADMK and also N R Congress President N Rangaswamy worked for the AIADMK in the Nellithoppe by-election. Now Puducherry is a sitting seat for N R Congress and hence, AIADMK is allotting to it, he added.

He said Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President A Namasivayam and Chief  Minister V Narayanasamy started ‘boasting’ out of fear of defeat and those who came forward to contest the Lok Sabha election on congress ticket has now withdrawn.
