Fire at SDF building at IT hub Sector V

A fire broke out at the SDF multi-storied building at Sector V, the IT hub of Bengal, today where most of the employees from all the floors have been evacuated when the report came in.

The fire was first noticed on the first floor at around 1000 hours and then it spread to the upper floors before the fire fighting engines arrived to combat the flames.

There had been no report of any casualty as of now and state fire department minister Sujit Bose has rushed to the spot. He said the fire was now under control.

Sources said four fire fighting engines' personnel were trying to arrest the fire as black smoke thickened the air around the multi-storied building.

Preliminary report said the fire could have sparked from an AC machine from an office on the first floor.
