Fake notes found in cash remitted to banks
Counterfeit currencies of Rs 100 denomination were found in the cash remitted to two banks in Reddiyarpalayam area here.

According to the police, when the bank officials conducted audit in September last year, they found eight counterfeit currencies of Rs 100 denomination in one bank and 11 in another bank. The authorites informed the Reserve bank of India, Chennai about this and the RBI Manager Senathipathi lodged a complaint with the CB-CID police. A case has been registered.
