Narayanasamy’s mother passes away, leaders offer condolences
Eswariammal, the 96-year-old mother of Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy, died here on Thursday night after a brief illness.

Eswariammal, who was ailing for a few days, was admitted to a private hospital here a couple of days ago and she breathed her last on Thursday night.
Narayanasamy, who was camping in New Delhi, after hearing the news of his mother’s demise rushed back to the union territory. The funeral was scheduled on Friday evening at Poornamkuppam near Puducherry, their native village. Narayanasmy is the eldest of the three sons of Eswariammal, who also has a daughter.
Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, DMK president MK Stalin and senior BJP leader and Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan on Friday condoled the death of Narayanasamy’s mother.
In his condolence message, Palaniswami said he was saddened by the news of demise of V Eswari alias Jagadeeswari, mother of his Puducherry counterpart, on Thursday night. Stating that she had been a good mother and a guiding force for Narayanasamy, he said her death was as an irreparable loss for the Puducherry Chief Minister and to his family members. He expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and said he would pray the Almighty for her soul to rest in peace. In his message, Stalin expressed grief over her death and offered his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members. Union Minister Radhakrishnan, in his message, offered condolences and said he would pray the God to give enough strength for Narayanasamy to bear this loss.
