3584 nominations filed for Telangana Assembly poll
Voting will be held for 119 Assembly seats in 31 districts in Telangana.

As many as 3,584 nominations have been filed by candidates from different political parties and independents for the Assembly Poll in Telangana slated for December 7.
Voting will be held for 119 Assembly seats in 31 districts in Telangana.
As many as 2,087 candidates including 1,511 independents and others had filed their nominations on the last day on Monday.
Out of the 3584 nominations filed by the candidates from November 12 to 19, 300 nominations are filed by INC followed by TRS (272), BJP (270), BSP (182), CPI-M (64) and TDP (52), NCP (36), AIMIM (21), CPI (5) and YSRCP (1).
The scrutiny of nominations will be held on Tuesday while the last date of withdrawal of candidature is November 22.
The total electorate in the state as per final published electoral rolls is about 2.74 crore.
The polling will be held in a single phase and the counting of votes will be taken up along with four other poll-bound states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram on December 11.
It may be mentioned that the Telangana Assembly was dissolved on September six as caretaker Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao had opted for early poll.
A candidate from transgender community had filed nomination from Goshamahal constituency in Hyderabad District to contest in the poll.
Transwoman Chandramukhi Muvvala, filed her nomination from Bahujana Left Front (BLF), the only party allotted a ticket to transwoman in the state.
Prominent among those who filed their nomination papers on the last day were caretaker Ministers E Rajender, K T Rama Rao, Guntakandla Jagadish Reddy (all TRS), former Minister D K Aruna (Congress) , former Congress MP Sarve Satyanarayana and CPI State Secretary Chada Venkat Reddy . Backward classes leader R.Krsihnaiah had filed his nomination as Congress candidate from Miryalguda constituency.
Mr Chandrashekar Rao, TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy,BJP State President K Laxman, TDP Telangana Unit President L Ramana  had already filed their nominations in last week.
Congress is contesting from 94 seats and its allies in People's Front ---TDP from 14 seats, TJS from 8 and CPI from 3 seats while Janasena Party had already declared to stay away from contesting the election.
