Congress leaders to discuss Cabinet expansion with AICC President on July 18

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and former KPCC President G Parameshwara will hold talks with AICC President Rahul Gandhi about Cabinet expansion on July 18.

"Myself, former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Minister D K Shivakumar will be going to Delhi and hold talks with Mr Rahul Gandhi about Cabinet expansion and also about appointment of heads for various Boards and Corporations in the State," he added.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, he said that "there is a meeting of MPs on Cauvery issue on that day and we will also meet AICC Chief and discuss about the issues pending including Cabinet expansion and appontment to various Boards and Corporations."

Replying to a question, Mr Parameshwara said that, "Preparations for next year's Lok Sabha election has already began.

We will put up a united fight.  Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will lead the team that includes newly appointed KPCC President Dinesh Gundurao, Congress leader in the Lok Sabha M Mallikarjun Kharge and senior party leaders among others."
