12-year-old boy hacked to death in Thane
A 12-year-old boy from a village in Murbad taluka was on Wednesday mercilessly hacked to death by some unidentified persons in the premises of the Zilla Parishad School.

According to District Rural Police, the 4th standard student, Suraj Bhoir, went to the near by structure to answer nature's call in the morning where the killers attacked him with an axe and killed him.
The incident sent shock waves not only in the school but the entire Nandeli village of Murbad taluka.
The body of the victim was sent to the government hospital for postmortem, the police said. A team of police officers lead by Sr PI Ajay Vasave rushed to the scene immediately upon the incident and carred out probe.
Additional SP Thane Prashant Kadam told UNI that the police team was still hunting for the accused and a dragnet was laid for the killers.
The motive behind the murder was not known, police added.
