Cold winds bring chill, minimum temperature 6.4 Degree C
Delhi shivered as cold winds blew in the National Capital on the first Sunday of the year although the minimum temperature was 6.4 degrees Celsius, an improvement from yesterday's 4.2 degrees C.

Visibility was reduced to zero metres at Palam although fog was moderate in other places.
Fog caused disruptions in train and flight schedules, as many as 50 trains were running late at 06:30 hrs and 16 had to be rescheduled.
A total 39 trains were cancelled yesterday because of the fog and other reasons.
Different airlines issued alerts to all passengers to cross check their flight status before leaving for the airport.
Jet Airways also wrote on its Twitter handle "Due to adverse weather (fog) at #Delhi, #Dhaka & #Guwahati, our flight schedules have been affected." It advised the passengers to check their flight status before starting.
According to India Meteorological Department, the maximum is likely to settle at 20 degree C, approximately
the same as yesterday.
Relative humidity was pegged at 100 per cent at 08:30 hrs, the weatherman said.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the air quality was 'very poor' in past 24 hours
with Index value at 381 at 09:00 hrs against Severe level the previous day. PM2.5 was the primary pollutant.
