2 killed, 20 injured as bus overturns in Maharashtra
Two persons, including a woman and her one-and-half-year-old child, were killed while 20 others injured, six of them seriously, when a private luxury bus in which they were travelling overturned on Miraj-Pandharpur National Highway at Vithalwadi Petrol Pump, three km from Nagaj Phata in Kavthe-Mahankal Tehsil of this district late last night.

According to police, the private tourist luxury bus, which was on its way to Solapur from Kolhapur, overturned while trying to overtake a truck and fell into a roadside ditch.Â
The injured, who included driver of the bus, were admitted to Miraj Government Hospital.
The deceased were identified Heena Janeet Sheikh (25) and her child Subajina.
Further investigation was underway, police said.
