Vasco Da Gama exp derailment: Goyal orders inquiry
Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on Friday condoled the loss of lives in Patna-bound 12741 Vasco Da Gama express derailment in Uttar Pradesh's Manikpur and ordered a probe into the incident.

The Minister tweeted, "Immediate rescue and relief operations started and an inquiry ordered into the derailment of Vasco De Gama - Patna Express at Manikpur, UP. My sincere condolences to the families of the deceased".
He also announced ex-gratia of Rs five lakh each to the kin of the deceased, Rs one lakh for the grievously injured and Rs 50,000 to those who have sustained minor injuries.
At least three passengers were killed and nine others injured when the Vasco Da Gama express derailed at Manikpur station in Chitrakoot district on 04:14 hrs.
