New Delhi
Five friends, Dinesh Kumar, Jagjeet, Manish, Rishi Kumar Mishra and Akash, who worked at the cargo terminal of the airport, decided to gather at the parking area on the evening of October 11 after work for partying, they said.
Manish (24) told his friends that he would join them after celebrating his wife's birthday, the police said.
At 11 pm he joined his friends, who were drunk by then.
Manish started telling them how he had celebrated his wife's birthday and showed her pictures on his cell phone to them, the police said.
At that time, Mishra suggested that they should go to Manish's house and celebrate his wife's birthday. Mishra said that he would make her dance and throw currency notes on her.
This angered Manish, they said.
When Manish asked Mishra to refrain from such comments, the latter lost his temper and hit Manish on his head with a chair. Manish collapsed on the spot, the police said.
Their other friends informed the police and caught hold of the Mishra, they said.
Manish was rushed to a hospital where he was declared brought dead. According to doctors, he suffered brain hemorrhage as a result of being hit with the chair, the police said, adding Mishra has been arrested.Â
