India today was one of the fastest growing economies in the world and its current 2 trillion economy was expected to cross 5 trillion by 2030, home minister N Rajnath Singh, said on Monday.

Distributing certificates to as many as 1030 assistant commandants, sub inspectors and deputy sub inspectors who completed their training at the CISF Regional Training Centre at INS Rajali at Arakonam, 70 km from Vellore, the Home Minister cautioned the force to be vigilant as certain anti-India forces unable to appreciate such visible trends were waiting for an opportunity to hit the nation in areas it was vulnerable and where its economic and strategic strength could be jeopardized.Â
Conduct security auditsÂ
Calling on the CISF to regularly conduct security audits of important buildings and adopt new technological solutions based on its reports, he said a new threat was increasing cyber terrorism as terrorists used digital tracks to attack important installations.Â
In this connection he called on the force to dedicate a specialised wing to conduct cyber security audits and build capacities to deal with this new menace.Â
The minister who witnessed a spectacular display of motorcycle stunts performed by women riders earlier stated that CISF as a para military unit had the largest number of women in its force, but sadly they only numbered 5% of the total force strength. He also added that the Centre had issued an advisory to all states and union territories to reserve 33% of posts for women in police force.
Security to private installationsÂ
While CISF provided security only to government installations earlier, now they were doing the same for even private installations, the minister said and added that CISF staff were provided an annual monetary allotment towards their uniforms.Â
This was because the different para military forces had different uniforms and hence provision of this allotment prevented unnecessary issues, he said. CISF director general OP Singh welcomed the gathering.
