    Mega camps held in Rajouri, services provided at door step

    Over a dozen mega public camps were held in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir this month as part of efforts to provide different services and resolve public grievances related to various departments, according to officials.

    The camps were organised by district administration for providing services under Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA). 

    "As many as 13 mega public camps were convened till August 26, wherein 3,623 services of revenue department have been delivered at the doorstep of people mostly in remote parts of the district," officials said. 

    Three service delivery camps were held in far off areas of Kotali, Bathera and Peeri yesterday, they said. 

    A large number of people attended and benefited through these camps. 

    "A total of 309 Permanent Resident Certificates (PRCs), 62 revenue extracts, 50 caste certificates, 14 mutations, 31 residents of backward area, 93 income and 327 other certificates were distributed among the locals on the spot," officials said. 

    More than 5,000 individuals participated in the camps and registered their grievances with concerned officers. Many other issues of public importance were registered and directions were passed to the concerned departments for earliest redressal of these issues. 

    The district administration has organised many camps in the district for efficient and time bound delivery of services.
