Mamata to launch the 'BJP Bharat Chhoro Andolan' from Medinipur today

Trinamool Congress Chairperson Mamata Banerjee will today launch the month-long 'BJP Bharat Chhoro Andolan' from the College Ground in Medinipur.

The movement will continue till September 5.

The 'andolan' or movement is being organised against the communal politics practised by the BJP.

This will be an all-Bengal movement.

All the districts, down to the block-level, would be covered.

Party activists would conduct a door-to-door campaign, along with street-corner rallies. Following this initial campaign, the movement will host a series of grand public rallies, one in each of the 294 Assembly constituencies.

This movement was announced by Ms Banerjee during her July 21 Shahid Dibas rally speech, when she gave the clarion call to protest against the BJP's divisive methods bent on destroying the secular fabric of the country.
