    Amit Shah on 3-day tour of Karnataka from August 12

    Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah will hold brainstorming sessions for three days with the State leaders from August 12 with a sharp focus on next year's Karnataka Assembly election.

    The Party is going whole hog to recapture power in the state with Party State President B S Yeddyurappa working towards the party claiming atleast 150 of the 224 seats.

    Mr Shah during his stay would draw up strategies to boost the party, BJP State General Secretary and former Minister S Suresh Kumar, today said. Mr Shah was expected to preside over as many as 25 meetings including State BJP Core Committee, various Morcha, Block level, District Level and others.  

    Speaking to newspersons here, he said that the party was looking forward for the visit of Mr Shah and it was fully geared up to make his visit a big success.

    Mr Shah's visit will give boost to party workers who are already on preparation for election which is due in another about eight months time, he said. 

    Replying to question, he said the BJP President would be visiting places both in urban and rural areas of the state. "We have formed various Committees to give scope for each and every one to get their doubts cleared and gear up for the election," he said.

    He said various issues including law and order, implementation of Central schemes, drought conditions, distribution of compensation to farmers released by the Centre, murder of RSS/BJP workers in the State, would be discussed.

    "The recent IT raids on Minister D K Shivakumar and his associates may also come up for discussion," he added.
