Poojas for Jayalalithaa in Mysuru and Sabarimala
Following reports of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa suffering heart attack, supporters of her on Monday offered puja to Goddess Chamundeshwari atop the hill praying for her early recovery.

Jayalalithaa is an ardent devotee of Goddess Chamundeshwari. Mysuru City Police have also deployed additional forces at vantage points as a precautionary measure. Security was tightened around tourist spots like Palace, Zoo, Chamundi Hill and other vantage points. Inspectors of all Police Stations in city have been instructed to be ready for any eventuality in their jurisdictions. Special prayers were also held at Lord Ayyappa temple in Sabarimala on Monday for the long life and good health of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, who suffered a cardiac arrest at Apollo Hospital.Â
Talking to news persons at Sabarimala, Travancore Devaswom Board President Prayar Gopalakrishnan said special poojas and ‘ Anna danam ’ (offering of food to devotees) in the name of the Jayalalithaa were also held at the temple. He also hoped that she will recover and get well soon. KSRTC authorities have temporarily suspended bus services to Tamil Nadu from Mysuru, Mandya and Chamarajanagar after a few miscreants pelted stones on two KSRTC buses at Annamalai in Tamil Nadu on Monday.Â
