Smog menace: HC bans construction work, burning of garbage and crop waste in UP

It has also restricted hordes of vehicles in any political party rallies in the state capital and asked the government officials to publicise their numbers to get information on violation of any kind. Authorities have been asked to take immediate actions against the violators.

The court has asked senior officers to comply with the suggestion of National Green Tribunal immediately. A division bench of Justices Amrendra Pratap Shahi and Anil Kumar Srivastava passed this order on a  Public Interest Litigation filed by Azamal Khan and others. The petition stated that the smog which has covered the whole city and its surroundings can lead to many dangerous diseases. Next hearing on the matter will be on November 16.
