Modi, Suu Kyi discuss bilateral issues
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Myanamar's State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi conducted bilateral talks on a wide range of issues on October 19.

Security, defence, agriculture, transport and a host of other issues were understood to be on the agenda of discussions. The two leaders are expected to sign a few agreements later today.
Ms Suu Kyi had arrived here on Monday on a state visit to Goa, where she participated in the BIMSTEC-BRICS outreach meeting.
Yesterday, she discussed the process of national reconciliation in her country with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, and priority areas in which the two country could cooperate.
She also met President Pranab Mukherjee yesterday.
According to sources, the External Affairs Minister conveyed to her condolences on behalf of people of India at the recent terrorist attacks in Rakhine State of Myanmar, in which many Myanmar police and army personnel have lost their lives.Â
She also conveyed her condolences at the loss of lives in the recent ferry accident on the Chindwin river.
The two leaders discussed the manner in which India could support Myanmar's agenda of national reconciliation, socio-economic development and strengthening democracy.Â
The State Counsellor outlined her priorities in the areas of agriculture, training, capacity building, job creation, infrastructure and health care and sought India's assistance in these areas.Â
She offered all possible assistance from India in keeping with the priorities outlined by the State Counsellor.
