Jat reservation bill approved by Haryana Cabinet
In the month of February, 30 people had lost their lives throughout the nine-day violent agitation by Jats demanding 10 per cent reservation quota in government jobs and educational institutions.
New Delhi
A day after Jat leaders threatened to resume their stir demanding reservation, the Haryana Cabinet on Monday approved the Jat reservation bill and it will be soon tabled in the assembly.
The other demands of the Jats include jobs and compensation to people of all community who died during the reservation protests last month.
They have also demanded that cases registered against the members of the community be withdrawn and those arrested during the protests be released.
