Motion to remove Justice Aadi sent to CJ
Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker Kagodu Thimmappa on Saturday said that he had sent a motion adopted for removal of Upa-Lokayukta Justice Suresh B Aadi to High Court Chief Justice for taking necessary action.

The motion was moved by Congress members in the last Assembly Session and it was adopted by the Speaker amidst protest by the Opposition BJP.
Talking to news persons here, Mr Thimmappa said the delay was mainly due to time taken to check the documents submitted in support of the motion and it had been sent to the Chief Justice for inquiry and other steps on Friday. “Since I was satisfied that the supporting documents were correct I have forwarded the motion to the Chief Justice,” he added.
Since the motion was sent to the High Court, Justice Aadi ceased to function as Upa Lokayukta with immediate effect. Justice Aadi has already approached the High Court against adoption of the motion, stating it is not in order. The case is pending before the court.
