Noted writer, Akbar Kakkattil passes away
Well known writer and Kerala Sahitya Akademi Vice President Akbar Kakkattil passed away in a private hospital today.

He is 62 and survived by wife V Jameela and daughters Sithara and Suhana.
Akbar, who was admitted to the hospital with lung cancer a week ago, breathed his last early this morning.
He had bagged many honours, including Kerala Sahitya Akademi award, for his literary works.
His burial will take place at Kandothkunhi Juma Masjid this evening.
