SC refuses to hear plea to direct Delhi's three civic bodies
The Supreme Court today refused to hear a plea seeking a direction to Delhi's three civic bodies to take steps to address the ongoing strike by the MCD employees.

While refusing to hear their plea, the apex court bench, headed by the Chief Justice of India (CJI) Tirath Singh Thakur, said, "Go to the High Court."
The SC said so after the lawyer for the petitioner, Rahul Birla, told the court that the Delhi High Court has adjourned the hearing without passing any directions to the civic body.
CJI Thakur told the petitioner's counsel, "Why do you file such petitions. Go to the High Court."
The petitioner, in his plea, had moved the apex court and said the Delhi High Court's attitude in this case was soft and thus, wanted the Supreme Court to intervene.
Yesterday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had announced a loan of Rs 551 crore for payment of salaries to striking workers of two municipal corporations in the national capital and urged them to call off their strike.
