The proclamation, signed by Netaji himself, reads as follows:  Liberated, We call upon the Indian people who are bone of our bone and flesh of our flesh to render all help— direct— to our armies of liberation.

We call upon all patriotic Indians-men, women, and children, our brothers and sisters in India to throw themselves wholeheartedly into this last fight for India’s Independence.

We call upon every Indian to destroy the Anglo-American war effort in India by systematic sabotage and thereby, hasten the successful conclusion of the war of our country’s freedom. We call upon our brothers, the Indian soldiers and officers in Britain’s Army to refuse to fight any longer for despotic rulers and to come to actively join our ranks. We call upon Indians working in various departments in the British service to render all possible help to us in this sacred fight. We solemnly assure the Indian people, our brothers and sisters, that they have nothing whatsoever, to fear, so long as they do not help Anglo-Americans or their allies in India. We assure them, further, that in the liberated territory in India, the Provisional Government will take over administration to the territory.

Sisters and brothers in India. This is a golden opportunity for you to fulfil your long cherished aspiration for freedom. If, you rise to the occasion and do your duty, freedom will be yours before long. In this momentous crisis, India expects everyone to do his or her duty. JAIHIND
