Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is on a brief visit to Chennai and is expected to meet Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa at the Secretariat around noon.

Jaitley is here to attend a function organised by the State Level Banker’s Committee of Tamil Nadu (SLBC) to for a loan distribution function for the flood affected people. The function will be presided over by Arun Jaitley and O Paneerselvam, Minister for Finance and Public Works. SLBC is an inter-institutional forum at State level ensuring coordination between Government and Banks on matters pertaining to banking development.
