Neville Bilimoria, the man behind D2D Chennai Marathon organised by Neville Endeavours, said that the 12-hour marathon will include running during the first six hours while the subsequent time will be for cycling. The kids’ category is hugely popular, he said.
“We already have more than 500 registrations for the kid’s marathon, where parents can run with their wards,” he said.
At the press conference, chairperson of the institute, Dr V Shanta said, “Over 45 per cent of the cancer cases are linked to tobacco. If detected early, cancer can be cured. When we started, the success rate for curing paediatric cancer was zero but now it is 65 per cent.”
