'Pathu Thala': Simbu- Gautham Karthik's Movie Title Revealed

As it was reported yesterday in DTNext, actors Silambarasan and Gautham Karthik are all set to join hands for the first time for upcoming Tamil project that will be produced by Studio Green.  The makers had announced yesterday that "Top 10 most influential Directors are releasing our #Studiogreen20 Title tomorrow".

Accordingly, the title of the movie was revealed today- 'Pathuthala'.

According to the name revealing poster, the movie can be expected to be a crime thriller based on the southern district of Kanniyakumari. The movie is directed by 'Sillunu oru Kadhal' fame Krishna.

Last year the same team had announced a project with is supposedly a remake of the Kannada movie 'Mufti' to be directed by Narthan. However, the film was eventually shelved.

STR was last seen in Sundar C’s Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven. He has finished the shooting of Susiendhiran's Eeswaran which is slated for Pongal release and is currently working on Venkat Prabhu’s Manaadu with Kalyani Priyadarshan as his female lead.
