    Madras Players to close 2017 with iconic play

    Noted city-based theatre company Madras Players, known for their productions on Indian themes, are closing 2017 with Madaiah the Cobbler, an iconic play by one of the most acclaimed playwrights of our time, HS Shivaprakash.

    Displaced mountains, rivers and tribals as characters roaming in the urban space meet up with cobbler Madaiah who is an incarnation of Shiva himself. Together they take upon themselves the task of destroying the tyrannical and power mad king Samana, who after enslaving the Moon and Sun, is in the process of enslaving the Earth.

    Choreographed and directed by Prasanna Ramaswamy, the play will premiere at the Museum Theatre, Egmore, on November 17, 18 and 19, 2017, at 7.15 pm. This play has been translated from Kannada by Lakshmi Chandrasekhar. Visit bookmyshow for tickets or call 93819 11977 for instant reservations.
