New platform to connect artists and connoisseurs
Artwaley is a creative marketplace for buying and selling art started by father-daughter duo, Gautam Ostwal and Priyal Ostwal. They started out in Hubli and recently opened a franchise in Chennai. The venture is committed to serve the growing community of art collectors and create a cultural bridge between national and international art community at large.

Priyal Ostwal has always been fascinated about colours and the story behind it. Her passion for art made her portray different walk of life through various forms of art. She had been looking at options to help the art community recognise their skills and love for art and connect different artists to global market. Thus, the idea of Artwaley dawned.
“We aim to create a platform with global reach to promote all artists helping them display and sell their paintings. Our main focus is on artists from smaller cities and rural areas who do not get opportunities to sell their paintings. It aims to abolish the myth, that painting is just a hobby and cannot bring financial value.
The platform so created, allows artists to come and exhibit their paintings on the website and showcase their talent and be recognised by their artwork,” explains Priyal.
Artwaley also have their presence in offline retail market and in Chennai they have come up with 2,400 square feet store in plush Nungambakkam area, which has a collection of more than 150 paintings and an online portal access to more than 1,000 paintings available in 48 hours to the customer.
Artwaley Chennai is headed by Dimple Jain, well-known in city’s business circles and for her passion towards art. “We do shows and exhibitions to offer customers touch-and-feel experience and for artists to educate and expose them to online platform. We plan to do the same in the city,” adds Priyal Ostwal.
Artwaley have franchises coming up in Ahmedabad, Pune, Delhi, Goa, Mysore, Kolkata, Atlanta and Dubai over the next 12 months.
