Vasthra, a handcrafted footwear shop based out of Chennai is organising a handloom gala on November 25 and 26 at Amethyst. The event features stalls retailing footwear, accessories, beauty products and clothing.

Why did you decide to host a two-day exclusive event for handcrafted goods?Â
We have been a part of many such exhibitions over the last couple of years and realised that they are great forums for sellers to display their products and meet with clientele, that is genuinely interested in it.Â
Tell us about the eventÂ
There will be about 20-25 participants from footwear, accessories, beauty products, clothing and stationary industries, who handcraft their products. While most of the participants are from Chennai, a few are from Coimbatore and Hyderabad.
What is your brand Vasthra all about?Â
We create handcrafted footwear through a community shop that promotes the essence of cottage industry.
