Mind, Body & Soul: ‘Dhyana cleans your mind’
If you read last week’s article on ‘dhyana’, you now know that ‘dhyana’ or meditation is necessary for every human to experience unparalleled peace, progress and joy. ‘Dhyana’ is also the only scientific process to experience oneness of mind, body and spirit.
Chennai
Humans have the ability to learn, discriminate, judge and take decisions only as long as they possess a healthy brain. A healthy brain decides your state of mind. The body needs happy hormones; mainly endorphins and serotonin to maintain a healthy brain. Lack of these hormones result in mental disturbances like depression and stress. Medication tries to replace these natural bio-chemicals with artificial chemicals with disastrous side-effects. ‘Dhyana’ is the only way to increase the functionality of the Endocrine system and help the body naturally secrete these hormones. It is the only solution for psychosomatic disorders without meditation. Meditation is also the best exercise one can give the brain, which is together strengthening and calming. ‘Dhyana’ has tremendous benefit for people suffering from insomnia too. Insomnia is a caused by deficiency of melatonin hormone. With ‘dhyana’ the body begins to naturally secrete melatonin.
Regular meditation increases strength of the heart, immunity and one’s self-healing power. Most importantly, increase in endorphins proportionately increase anti tumour immunity thereby reducing the risk of any cancer.
The most magnificent effect of ‘dhyana’ however, is on the mind and spirit of a person. Humans are unavoidably exposed to pollution, both external and internal. One can protect oneself from external pollution by preventing it or cleansing the body. It is internal pollution, namely thought pollution and vibrational disturbances we have no control over. Meditation is the only way one can cleanse and shield himself from internal pollution.
The mind is like a container where we accumulate thoughts, emotions and experiences. If the container is contaminated the water in it will get contaminated. Similarly, the mind needs cleansing too. Regular ‘dhyana’ or meditation is the way to cleanse the mind.
Humans have a tendency to believe what they see. But in reality, we see only what we believe. In meditation what you see and believe with your eyes closed; you gain the power to eventually see and experience as a physical reality with your open eyes.
Knowing that you have all the power to create the future you want to live, it is your responsibility to take the self-effort to practice meditation with commitment every day to give yourself a good time all the time irrespective of your present life situation. Wish you and your family everlasting and never ending peace, health and happiness.
