Having spent the last six years furnishing multiple homes, the founders Amrita Thomas Modi (Architect & Interior Designer) and Arjun Thomas (Product Specialist) realised that while finding a good couch was challenging enough, it was next to impossible to customise them further. On their cre ateyourcouch.com, the client becomes a designer. With elegant designs and unique fabrics, the duo encourages you to create beautiful furniture pieces.

Serene walls: Serenity is a beautiful shade of soft blue, with a touch of grey. It would work very well in your living room. Pick shades of browns and greys for your furniture and avoid bright colours on them. If you would like to add accents, then restrict it to your cushions and artifacts. It would be best to keep your curtains and blinds neutral as well.

Lights as accents: The Rose Quartz and Serenity coloured matt pendant lights, or even glass lamps, go very well in children’s rooms. The blue for the boy and the pink for the girl would be an obvious choice. For a dramtic touch, opt for Rose Quartz hanging lights with a metallic finish for dining room or even corner of a living room. This rose gold look is absolutely stunning!

Dining delight: If you are not one to stick to trends all year long and don’t mind going with them occasionally, decorating your dining table is a good start! You could have the pastel shades of pink and blue for your crockery and place them on a neutral table cloth. Add some hydrangea flowers to give a character to your dining table. You are already a trendsetter!

Muted furnishing: Pink and blue work really well on your furniture, be it a couch or an arm chair. Make sure you keep the rest of the room neutral, so you don’t overdo the effects of these colours. Curtains and blinds in rose or serenity would look absolutely divine, but make sure you keep your furniture neutral so it’s not an over kill.

Trendsetting kitchens: The beauty about the Pantone colours of this year is that they are almost neutrals. If you want to change your old kitchen cabinets, don’t give it a second thought! While the Rose Quartz is almost a blush, Serenity is a safe option. So scrape down your old boring wood cabinets and opt for this elegant colour, it’s a total winner!
